Privacy Notice Disclosure To Members
The directors, management, and staff of TEG Federal Credit Union are concerned about and respect the privacy of our members’ personal financial information. We understand that our members furnish sensitive information to the credit union in the course of daily business, and the credit union is committed to treating such information responsibly. We know that our members expect privacy and security for their personal and financial affairs.
The following disclosure describes our policy regarding the disclosure of nonpublic personal information about our consumer members and other consumers who have continuing relationships with us.
Types of Information the Credit Union Collects
At TEG Federal Credit Union, we collect nonpublic personal information from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms.
- Information about your transactions with us, out affiliates, or others; and
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.
Types of Information the Credit Union Discloses
We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf, or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. Examples of the types of companies that we have joint marketing arrangements with are companies that provide insurance and securities investment products to our members. We may also disclose information otherwise permitted by law, such as information necessary to effect, administer or enforce a transaction you request or authorize, information we disclose to a credit bureau about your transaction with us, and information properly requested by law enforcement agencies.
Information About Former Members
We may disclose all of the information described above about former members to the same types of companies and for the same purposes as described above for existing members.
Safeguarding Member Information
At TEG Federal Credit Union, we restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
